About Zoexplores

I’m Zoë, and together with my boyfriend I live in beautiful The Hague, the Netherlands. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, and after graduating we spent six months living in a tiny English village near Bath (my favourite UK city, make sure to check out my guide!).

Back home, I started my first “grown-up” job as a data analyst, quickly realising that life in an office from 9 to 5 wasn’t for me. Travel has always been my biggest joy, so in 2023 I started Zoexplores to share the kind of travel content I sometimes struggled to find myself: beautiful to look at, but also packed with everything you need to plan your trip from start to finish. These days, I still work a 9 to 5, but now as an editor writing about AI instead of analysing data, which I already enjoy a lot more. And in my free time I pour my energy into creating travel content.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I grew up doing track and field and achieved multiple top-3 finishes at junior nationals in triple jump. Now I like to stay fit with plenty of gym time: weightlifting, boxing, yoga and a weekly run.

I’m a city girl through and through, but I absolutely love getting out of town and being surrounded by nature. Mountains are my favourite, whether it’s a multi-day hike or just a short one for a great view. I enjoy all kinds of trips: hikes, beaches, city getaways, and best of all, a mix of everything. And when I’m in a new city, you’ll probably find me hunting down the best bakery in town for a vegan pastry.

​I travel on a middle income, so I'll mostly share affordable yet comfortable places to stay. I’ll camp if the view is worth it, but honestly, I prefer ending the day in a comfortable bed.
